- Boarding - All pets boarding at our facility cared for and monitored by licensed veterinary technicians. Each pet is also under the supervision of a staff veterinarian.
Dogs are brought out to individual exercise runs two to four times daily.
Canine and feline housing units are disinfected a minimum of twice daily and as needed.
We feed only premium brands of food in our facility or you may bring your pets own food if desired or needed for medical reasons.
- Cardiology/pulmonology - Thoracic radiography, electrocardiography, echocardiogram, bronchoscopy, rhinoscopy
- Dentistry - Anesthesia for dental procedures is performed in the same manner as for any other surgery. Patients must be examined and have pre-surgical blood and, when appropriate, cardiac testing. An intravenous catheter is placed in all patients. Monitoring includes blood pressure, EKG, pulse oximetry, and body temperature.
Dental procedures include prophylaxis, periodontal treatment, digital dental radiography, and extractions.
All patients will receive pain management medications before, during, and after any procedure deemed to be painful.
- Dermatology - Common conditions treated at our facility include: Allergic dermatitis, Flea Allergy Dermatitis, Skin Infections, and Ear disease.
- Diagnostic radiology - In addition to providing general radiography (thoracic, abdominal, and orthopedic), we offer the following:
Digital dental radiographs have the advantage of instant development which reduces anesthetic time during the dental procedures.
Abdominal Ultrasonography: Performed onsite by specialists in veterinary internal medicine.
Cardiac Echocardiography: Performed onsite by specialists in veterinary internal medicine.
Telemedicine: Ultrasound examination performed by our staff. The images and case history are then sent via DSL to veterinary specialists for evaluation.
- General and orthopedic surgery - All surgical patients receive a pre-surgical examination and appropriate blood testing.
Prior to surgery an intravenous catheter is placed and IV fluids are started and maintained through the surgical procedure.
Monitoring includes: EKG, blood pressure, body temperature, pulse rate and oximetry.
All patients receive pain management medications prior to, during, and after the surgical procedure.
We regularly perform spays, neuters, wound repair, reconstructive surgery, ear surgery, anterior cruciate ligament repair, limited ophthalmic procedures, and intra-abdominal surgery.
Specialists can perform surgery onsite when needed.
- Internal medicine - Endocrinology, gastroenterology, urology, hepatology, and infectious disease.
- Ophthalmology - Common conditions treated at our facility include: Corneal ulcers, Dry Eye, Eyelid abnormalities (eg entropion).
For intra-ocular diseases such as Cataracts and Glaucoma, referral to an ophthalmologist is usually recommended.
- Point of care diagnostics - In addition to using a state of the art out-sourced lab we have the ability to perform comprehensive blood testing in the hospital at the time of examination when needed.
